Our members include students, educators, clinicians and researchers from different disciplines. Our common bond is the interest in the autonomic nervous system in health and disease. By bringing together different disciplines, from clinical care to biomedical research, the British Autonomic Society enables all members to benefit from collaborations as we study pathologies, develop treatments, and strive for the prevention and the optimal treatment of disorders of the autonomic nervous system.
MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
Ordinary members are consultant or academic post equivalents in any specialty, healthcare scientists, specialist nurses, or equivalent in autonomic or related specialties and others who have contributed significantly to the discipline of autonomic neuroscience
Allied Health Professional Members are those specified by the Health and Care Professions Council and the General Osteopathic Council.
Associate Members are general practitioners and physicians with an interest in autonomic neuroscience, and associate specialists/staff grades in any medical specialty.
Junior & student Members are specialty registrars, undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD and post-doc.
Senior member are ex-ordinary members on retirement from hospital and/or academic appointment and from the practice of autonomic neurology. Honorary members are persons of distinction in medicine and related sciences, who have contributed to the advancement of autonomic neuroscience.
