The BAS Educational Programme for 2026/2027 now live!
The BAS Educational Programme is a members-only, year-round series of monthly webinar sessions designed to advance knowledge and improve clinical practice in autonomic medicine. It alternates between expert-led webinars on key clinical and scientific topics and Autonomic Grand Rounds featuring challenging cases and focused literature review.
The programme aims to support multidisciplinary learning, translate evidence into practice, and develop the next generation of autonomic specialists.

The British Autonomic Society (BAS) advances research, education, and clinical excellence in autonomic medicine. We foster a multidisciplinary network of professionals in the UK and internationally, and work to improve the care and quality of life of people living with autonomic disorders.
Our vision is a future in which autonomic disorders are recognised early, investigated rigorously, and managed effectively, with equitable access to high-quality care for all patients.
The BAS aims to lead nationally and internationally in autonomic medicine by shaping standards, driving innovation, and supporting education and training for physiologists, scientists, clinicians, and researchers, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Welcome to the British Autonomic Society (BAS).
The autonomic nervous system plays a fundamental role in human health, yet autonomic disorders remain under-recognised, under-diagnosed, and under-researched. The BAS was established to address this gap by bringing together clinicians, scientists, allied health professionals, and trainees with a shared interest in autonomic medicine.
Our mission is to advance excellence in clinical care, education, and research across the full spectrum of autonomic disorders. We aim to provide a collaborative national platform that supports professional development, promotes high-quality evidence-based practice, and accelerates translational research that improves patient outcomes.
As President, I am delighted to welcome you to the BAS! Whether you are an established expert, a trainee, or someone newly interested in autonomic science and medicine, we are building an inclusive and forward-looking community, and we warmly invite you to be part of it.
